PRODUCTION PROCESS DESCRIPTION

1 HYDRANT
The hydrant is located ( 54º 46´19,7´´ S- 68º 11´51,3´´ W) in riverbed of the steady trickle Velo de la Novia, which is fed into by two suspension glaciers: the glacier PADRE AGOSTINI on the left and the glacier OF SOUTH on the right, affluent of Olivia River. The capture is compound by steel bars AISI 316 submerged in 1,2mts depth. It is transported by polyethylene plumbing PEN 10 of 63 mm, with an intermediate reduction of 51 mm isolated and buried. There are two flow reduction valves for the management of the flow and the stability of the water strain, given that the high difference between the hydrant and the plant entry is 113 mts. The excess of water returns to Olivia River
2 PURIFICATION PROCESS
a- Tank 1- Once the water enters the production process by stainless steel plumbing AISI 316, and using the hydraulic strain, it goes through a descending graver filter of different grainy, in a stainless steel tank AISI 316, with a retention time of 15 minutes depending on contac time. Time: 0,9997 x VOL/Q (flow), with a work strain of 2 Bar
b- Tank 2- Then the water goes through a second stainless steel tank with a activated charcoal bed (with a stoma of 0,2 mm). Here it happens an absorption phenomenon of a wide assortment of pollutant, pigments, odours, carbolic acid, detergent, chlorine. The retention time is 10 minutesofcontact. Time: 0,9997 x vol/q (flow), with a work strain of 2 bar

c- After this filtration, the water goes through aultra filter battery of 10, 5 and 1 micron respectively where it is done a retention of very thin particles and some kinds of bateria. It is used stainless steel mesh and synthetic fiber filter
